What are possible side effects of the Nasal-Vac?

There are no side effects using the Nasal-vac.

Sometimes there can be a little blood in the secretion this is similar to blowing your nose, this is due to the already swollen mucus membranes.  When adults blow their nose blood can also be present in the tissue.

In the beginning the child may be held in a cradling position until they realise that the Nasal-Vac helps them breathe easier and feel better.
 
By designing the Nasal-Vac in a cone shape the unit cannot be inserted to deep and so prevents damage to the nasal passages.
